Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the MoA for the Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal river linking campaign was signed on the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and it is under his leadership that the Ken-Betwa link project is being inaugurated on 25th December. Madhya Pradesh will benefit from both projects. Prime Minister Shri Modi is coming to Khajuraho on 25th December. The Chief Minister has appealed that more and more citizens of the areas benefiting from the projects should reach Khajuraho and express their gratitude to Prime Minister Shri Modi. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav reviewed the progress of public welfare camps run in Sagar, Ujjain, and Gwalior-Chambal divisions at Samatva Bhawan (Chief Minister’s residence).
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that these projects could be implemented only due to the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Modi. This will ensure the availability of adequate drinking water along with the expansion of irrigation facilities in the Malwa and Bundelkhand regions. The Chief Minister directed that painting and debate competitions should be organized in schools on the usage of water. Prime Minister Shri Modi should make people aware of water conservation by connecting all the gram panchayats of the state with the Bhoomi Pujan programme of the Ken-Betwa Link Project. MLAs of the assemblies benefiting from these projects should inform the local citizens about the benefits of the implementation of the projects and motivate them to use water economically.
Make proposals to link the rivers of the state
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that both the projects are inter-state. Proposals should be made to link the rivers of the state on the basis of utility. Action plans should also be made at the district level to avail the benefits of both projects.
Public welfare works should not remain pending in the Mukhya Mantri Jankalyan Abhiyan
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that a Jankalyan Abhiyan is being run in the state to take the benefits of public welfare schemes to every household. Public representatives and officers should ensure that public welfare works do not remain pending at any level. Teams formed in the campaign conducted door-to-door surveys and collected applications. Public representatives should also actively participate in all the camps. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav directed to take the survey of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana on priority. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that by holding a meeting at the district level, information about the public welfare works and development activities done so far should be made available to the public representatives. He directed that the issues that are not being resolved at the district level should be presented at the state level without any delay.
Over 12 thousand camps will be organized in Sagar, Ujjain, Gwalior, and Chambal divisions
It was informed in the meeting that more than 12 thousand camps are being organized under the Mukhya Mantri Jankalyan Abhiyan in Sagar, Ujjain, Gwalior, and Chambal divisions. So far, more than 75 percent of the proposed camps have been organized in the Shajapur, Guna, Mandsaur, Ujjain, and Panna districts. Under the campaign, so far 72 thousand 600 applications have been received in the camps held in Sagar, Ujjain, Gwalior, and Chambal divisions, out of which 41 thousand 381 were approved. Maximum applications have been received in Ujjain, Chhatarpur, Ashok Nagar, Gwalior, Sagar, Ratlam and Guna districts. It was told in the meeting that out of the maximum 20 thousand 134 applications received under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, 15 thousand 138 (75.2 percent) were approved. Similarly, 51 percent of the applications related to the registration of construction workers and 64 percent of the applications related to the supply of copies of current Khasra/Khatauni have been approved.
Suggestions given in the meeting
In the meeting, Farmer Welfare and Agricultural Development Minister Shri Andal Singh Kansana, Food Supply Minister Shri Govind Singh Rajput, Social Justice Minister Shri Narayan Singh Kushwaha, Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises Minister Shri Chaitanya Kumar Kashyap, Higher Education Minister Shri Inder Singh Parmar, Minister of State for Culture Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Minister of State for Animal Husbandry Shri Lakhan Patel, former Ministers Shri Gopal Bhargava, Shri Jayant Malaiya, Shri Om Prakash Sakhalecha along MLAs of the existing Vidhan Sabhas in Sagar Ujjain, Gwalior, and Chambal divisions. The ministers and MLAs present in the meeting also presented suggestions. The concerned Divisional Commissioner, District Collector, and other officers participated in the meeting virtually.
