Madhya Pradesh becomes the first state to adopt the Twarit digital initiative
Summons and warrants can now be tracked online

Supreme Court Justice Shri Abhay S. Oka, serving as the Chief Guest at the two-day Principal District and Sessions Judges Conference organized by the Madhya Pradesh State Judicial Academy, inaugurated the advanced digital initiative 'Tvarit' (Transmission of Warrants, Summons, and Reports by Information Technology) and the 'E-Jyoti Journal.' The Tvarit system enables online tracking of summons and warrants. Madhya Pradesh has become the first state in the country to notify regulations for this initiative, setting a benchmark for digital innovation in the judicial system.
Addressing the conference, Justice Shri Oka emphasized the vital role of district courts in the judicial framework. He urged district judges to prioritize resolving long-pending cases and adopt innovative approaches. The two-day conference, held in Jabalpur, was attended by the Chief Justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, Justice Shri Suresh Kumar Kait, Justice Shri Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari, and other judges. Key participants included all Principal District and Sessions Judges of the state, senior officials from the Registries, Madhya Pradesh State Legal Services Authority (MP SLSA), the State Judicial Academy, and other dignitaries.
The E-Jyoti Journal, a bi-monthly publication, will be publicly accessible on the Academy’s website, providing readers with valuable insights.
In his address, Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Shri Suresh Kumar Kait highlighted the importance of providing legal aid to underprivileged marginalized and needy litigants. He called on district court judges to inspire judicial officers in their districts through exemplary performance and leadership. The conference reinforced the commitment of the judiciary to innovate and enhance efficiency while upholding the principles of justice and fairness.
