Veteran actor Akshay Kumar weighed in on "Saiyaara's" phenomenal success in a recent interview with Hindustan Times, expressing his delight at the performance of the newcomers
"I think it’s the best thing that has happened," Kumar stated. "It’s a very good thing for our Hindi film industry that a newcomer, a new boy and new girl's film, has worked. I welcome them and I am very happy. Honestly, it is such a good thing. Anyway, I'm seeing that films in our industry are slowly starting to do well again."
Kumar further emphasized the significance of a newcomer's film achieving such widespread success. "It’s a good sign. For a newcomer's film to run this much is a very big deal. I really welcome them to the industry. They have done a good job."
While admitting he hasn't yet seen the film himself, Kumar shared positive feedback from a family member. "My cousin watched it, I haven’t seen it yet. I will definitely go and watch it. My cousin watched it and told me they really enjoyed it, and both the boy and girl are amazing. Mohit Suri has done an excellent job, and his song choices are amazing. We all know that, it’s amazing."
