Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the youth have always been dedicated to the country and society. Be it the freedom struggle against the British or the time of opposition to other invaders, the youth have protected religion, culture, and life values by sacrificing their lives for the country and society when needed. The present time is the time to establish India as a developed country globally. We are fortunate to have the leadership and guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. He called upon the youth to contribute in every possible way in their respective fields with their best abilities and competence, hard work, and dedication towards making India a developed nation by 2047. Under Prime Minister Shri Modi’s motto of ‘Gyan par Dhyan’, making the poor, youth, farmers, and women self-reliant and empowered is our top priority. To give a constructive direction to the youth's energy for the country's progress, ‘Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission’ is being started in the state on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, National Youth Day. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the gathering at the launch of Yuva Shakti Mission at Ravindra Bhawan Bhopal on Sunday. Vice Chancellors of various universities and a large number of students and youth were present in the programme.
Yuva Portal launched and oath administered to youth
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp and paying floral tribute to the portrait of Swami Vivekananda. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav unveiled the logo of Yuva Shakti Mission based on the mission’s motto of ‘Atma Deepo Bhava: - Samvad, Samarthya, Samriddhi’. He administered oath to the youth to become skilled and self-reliant and to guide the society. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also inaugurated the theme song of the mission and the Yuva Portal developed to provide information about various departments to the youth. Along with this, the Umang Wellness Program jointly developed by the Department of Public Health and Medical Education and Higher Education for the physical, mental, and emotional health of the youth was launched. On this occasion, a short film on ‘Umang’ was also screened.
MoU exchanged, letters of encouragement given to girls
An MoU was exchanged between Global Skill Park and Trident Company in the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, for skill development of youth and providing training as per industrial requirements. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav gave letters of encouragement (Protsahan Patras) to girls from tribal-dominated districts of the state who received training in various trades in Government Women ITI Betul and other institutions under the V-STEM project run by UN Women.
Mission aims to make MP’s 1.5 crore youth self-reliant
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that India is the youngest country in the world and we are capable of solving all the questions based on our ability and competence. Madhya Pradesh alone has more than 1.5 crore youth. By communicating with them, the state government will provide all possible support for their future and progress according to their interest and abilities. The Yuva Shakti Mission aims to make the youth self-reliant by providing quality education to the youth, training in entrepreneurship for their capacity enhancement, and ensuring the use of the energy of the youth in the interest of the country and the state by coordinating with the schemes and programmes related to the interests of the youth run in all 54 departments.
Will make the youth job providers
In the current era, skill development and training in this field have special importance. While providing employment in government service or the private sector along with working for entrepreneurship development, the youth will be made job providers, not job seekers. Under the mission, targets have been set for the betterment of youth and a roadmap has also been prepared for their achievement within the time limit.
Youth should learn from Swami Vivekananda’s sayings
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced plans to provide employment to over 70 percent of the state’s youth by 2030. Emphasizing education as the foundation for personal growth and better livelihoods, the mission aims for all youth to complete Class 10 by 2028 and Class 12 by 2030. To promote economic self-reliance, training and guidance in entrepreneurship and other employment fields will be offered based on individual interests. He encouraged youth to embrace technology and embody Swami Vivekananda's motto, ‘Arise, awake, and do not stop until the goal is achieved.’
Youth told to spread light of knowledge through their energy
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission aims to support the dreams of the state’s youth, aligning with Prime Minister Shri Modi’s vision of empowering the poor, youth, farmers, and women to make India a developed nation. The mission seeks to harness the infinite energy of youth to drive progress and illuminate society, with the state government committed to guiding and empowering them. In addition to education, the government will provide training and guidance in various fields, addressing current needs through active dialogue with the youth.
Sports and Youth Welfare and Cooperative Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang, while highlighting the contribution of Swami Vivekananda in establishing Indian culture, religion and philosophy in the world, said that the Yuva Shakti Mission started on the initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav is like an offering in the yagya started by Prime Minister Shri Modi to empower India. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes and Minority Welfare, Smt. Krishna Gaur said that the Yuva Shakti Mission started by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, inspired by the thoughts of Prime Minister Shri Modi, will help in empowering the youth. The mission will also help in connecting the youth to the development stream by providing them quality education and employment-oriented skills.
MP Khajuraho Shri V.D. Sharma said that Swami Vivekananda had called for continuing efforts till the goal is achieved. In the present times, the youth need to be self-reliant and also live for the country and commit themselves to the welfare of the society and set goals. The Yuva Shakti Mission started by Chief Minister Dr. Yadav on the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Modi will open new doors of possibilities for the youth of the state.
Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain highlighted Swami Vivekananda’s enduring influence in elevating Indian religion, philosophy, and culture globally while inspiring youth during challenging times. He noted that the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission was developed with input from various stakeholders and aims to empower youth by fostering self-confidence, entrepreneurship, education, skills, and health awareness, while encouraging active societal roles. At the programme’s conclusion, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Manu Shrivastava presented Swami Vivekananda’s books to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav and other guests as a symbolic gesture.
