Maintain cordial relations with the masses: Governor Shri Patel

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said the trainee officers should maintain a sense of closeness and empathy towards common people during their service. He urged them to treat the poor, deprived, and innocent with politeness, highlighting that only honest, fair, and sensitive officers earn the trust and respect of the public.

The Governor stated this while addressing the 29th batch of Sashastra Seema Bal trainee assistant commandant officers. He congratulated them and wished them success. The event, held at the Raj Bhavan banquet hall, was attended by Additional Chief Secretary Shri KC Gupta.

Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel encouraged the Sashastra Seema Bal trainee officers to prioritize public interest in their work, conduct, and dignity. He reminded them of their privileged role in serving the nation. He emphasized that every action should focus on national service and public welfare, which would define their success and true service. Highlighting the importance of their commitment and efficiency, he expressed confidence that their contributions would elevate the Sashastra Seema Bal’s tradition of excellence, bringing pride to their families, community, the force, and the nation.

Be aware of digital challenges and make common people aware too

Highlighting the growing challenges of cybercrime, advanced technologies used by smugglers, and other emerging threats, Governor Mangubhai Patel emphasized the significant responsibilities these challenges pose for officers during their service. He urged them to stay vigilant and informed about digital-age issues such as digital arrest, and hacking while also working to raise awareness among the public.

The Governor lauded the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) for its effective role in addressing peace and order, internal security, Naxalism, and border management. Expressing confidence in the officers’ excellent training, unique skills, and determination, he assured them of their ability to successfully tackle these challenges.

During the courtesy visit, Governor Mangubhai Patel was welcomed with a plant and a memento. He interacted with and received introductions from all the trainee Assistant Commandants. Deputy Inspector General of the Sashastra Seema Bal Academy Bhopal, Shri Ajit Singh Rathore, delivered the welcome address, providing detailed insights into the 29th batch Assistant Commandant Training Programme selected by the Union Public Service Commission. Representing the trainees, Sushri Rashi Bhardwaj and Shri Ashish Raghav shared their experiences at the Academy, while Deputy Commandant Shri Sachin Kumar expressed gratitude on behalf of the group.
