Gustaakh Ishq First Review: Vijay Varma is one of the most talented actors in Bollywood and there are no second thoughts about it. He has won hearts with his stint in movies and series like Mirzapur, Pink, Gully Boy, Baaghi 3, Dahaad, IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack etc. And now, Vijay Varma is back in the headlines for his upcoming release. We are talking about Gustaakh Ishq which is a romantic drama. Directed by Vibhu Puri, Gustaakh Ishq also features Fatima Sana Shaikh, Naseeruddin Shah and Sharib Hashmi in the lead. Marking Vijay's first collaboration with Fatima, Gustaakh Ishq also marks Manish Malhotra's debut production.

Interestingly, The film is set in the era of 1990s before the introduction of mobile phones. Interestingly, Gustaakh Ishq revolves around the bustling lanes of Purani Delhi wherein Nawabuddin Saifuddin Rahman (played by Vijay Varma) faces a dilemma. As he struggles to preserve his father's printing press, he finds himself drawn to the world of poetry and love. His journey intertwines with that of Aziz (played by Naseeruddin Shah), a retired poet, whose wisdom and guidance become pivotal. Nawabuddin's life takes a turn when he meets Minni (played by FAtima Sana Shaikh), Aziz's daughter, who works as a teacher. His affection for her grows, adding another layer of complexity to his life. This newfound love challenges his priorities, making him question his path. As Gustaakh Ishq has been grabbing a lot of eyeballs, here's the first review of the movie

Gustaakh Ishq First Review Taking to social media, self proclaimed critc Kuldeep Gadhvi shared the censor board review of Gustaakh Ishq and wrote, "A powerful intense and emotionally gripping film led by outstanding performances, brilliant writing and world class direction. A must watch cinematic experience. He gave the moive a rating of 4.5 stars. Kuldeep further emphasised, "The moment the film ended, there was a silent shock in the hall - the god kind. Vijay Varma delivers one of the strongest performances of his career. His intensity, the emotional restraint, the internal fire in his eyes - everything feels so real that you forget he is acting. Fatima Sana Shaikh matches him frame to frame with a powerful, deeply vulnerable performance".

Talking about the story and the climax, Kuldeep asserted, "The story itself is a gripping emotional thriller that unfolds layer by layer. What begins as a simple, tense situation slowly turns into a haunting exploration of trauma, guilt, broken relationships and painful truths. The narrative keeps tightening without ever losing grip and by the time it reaches the final act, the emotional impact hits like a punch straight to the chest". Meanwhile, talking about his chemistry with Fatima, Vijay stated, "Fortunately, Fatima and I connected instantly. We became friends very easily. She has a wonderfully twisted sense of humour - and so do I. We end up laughing at the same jokes, and no one around us understands why the two of us are cracking up".
