Bhopal, October 11, 2026: Taj Lakefront Bhopal recently concluded its seven-day culinary festival, ‘The Soul of Satpura’, showcasing the traditional flavours and rich food heritage of Madhya Pradesh. Held from October 1 to 7 at Satpura Terrace, the festival brought the distinctive cuisine of Tamia and the Satpura region to the heart of the City of Lakes.
Inspired by recipes passed down through generations, the festival featured specially curated vegetarian and non-vegetarian thalis prepared using traditional cooking methods and regional ingredients. The culinary experience highlighted the lesser-known food traditions of the region and offered guests an opportunity to explore the authentic flavours of rural Madhya Pradesh.
To complement the cuisine, Satpura Terrace was transformed into a rustic, village-inspired setting reflecting the simplicity and cultural character of the Satpura region. The traditional décor and carefully curated menu together created an immersive experience celebrating the state's culinary heritage.
