This Diwali, Cadbury Celebrations Nudges You to Celebrate the Sweetness Behind Every Nok-Jhok

The new campaign celebrates the warmth beneath everyday nok-jhok, showing how Cadbury Celebrations becomes the sweetest excuse for neighbours to reconnect and begin anew this Diwali. While the brand has launched a TV and digital film, it is also experimenting with a new format given the consumer’s evolving content choices and has released a short film titled ‘The Neighbour’.
This Diwali, Cadbury Celebrations launches a special "Mithai collection" which includes Choco Mithai squares and the newly introduced Milky Mithai Squares. The Milky mithai squares brings to consumers a unique taste of chocolate made with slow cooked golden caramelised milk along with the flavours of traditional mithai in a gift box, rightly suited for the festive occasion. The brand has also elevated its gifting range through new pack formats and designs which was very well received during Rakhi.

Mumbai: Cadbury Celebrations, one of India's most loved gifting brands, is bringing a little more warmth to bonds between neighbours this Diwali with its latest campaign. Rooted in the familiar dynamics of residential areas, the campaign shines a light on the small tiffs that come with living in close quarters and the affection that quietly sits beneath them.

For many of us, neighbours are among the most constant people in our lives. That closeness can mean comfort and friction in equal measures. A little nok-jhok over a parking spot, a shared boundary wall, a pet, a noisy late-night party or a game of cricket in the compound can quickly turn into a full-blown disagreement. But come Diwali, these everyday differences also become a chance to pause, reconnect and start afresh.

The new campaign brings this relatable dynamic to life, showing how the festive season creates a natural moment to set the everyday differences aside and begin on a sweeter note. At its heart is a simple, universal thought — that Diwali gives us a chance to turn our everyday tiffs into thoda sa pyaar. With a box of Cadbury Celebrations as the gesture that bridges the gap, a small act of gifting becomes an invitation to make peace and start afresh. Click to see ad film and short film.

Vinay Subramanyam, Vice President – Marketing, Mondelez India, said, "Diwali has always been a time to pause, reconnect and celebrate the people around us. Our latest campaign tries to depict the beautiful and unique relationship that we Indians have with our neighbours – we bicker, we banter but underneath, there is bonhomie, especially during Diwali. We are pleased to launch Milky Mithai under the brand Cadbury Celebrations, which is a magical coming together of fine chocolate with the taste of iconic Indian Mithais.

Sukesh Nayak, Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy India, says, “There’s enough bitterness in the world but a little sweetness has the power to go a long way. With our latest Diwali campaign, we wanted to celebrate the familiar, playful quarrels between neighbours - and how quickly they can melt into warmth when someone makes the first move. It doesn’t take much to soften a hard feeling: a knock on the door, a plate of Meetha, a little generosity. In a world that can feel divided, that small sweetness can bring us closer.”

Shekhar Banerjee President, Client Solutions, South Asia, WPP Media said, "Diwali isn't just one celebration it's a whole week of distinct rituals, reunions, nostalgia, gratitude, mending old squabbles and multiple moments of gifting & consumption. We are using creator ecosystem and turning these moments into seamless, shoppable gift guides that make it effortless to pick a Cadbury Celebrations pack tailored to every unique moment & bond.”

This Diwali, Cadbury Celebrations presents a refreshed festive portfolio designed to make gifting more premium and thoughtful. The festive range includes the launch of new Mithai collection - the Cadbury celebrations Milky Mithai Squares in Kesar pista flavour and Choco Mithai squares in Crispi rabdi, badam barfi and kesar badam Indian flavors, that are particularly relevant around Diwali and assorted chocolate packs, Silk Selections, Bournville Selections, Rich Dry Fruit Jars — all in premium gold-accented packaging. With packs starting at under ₹100 and premium options spanning the ₹250–₹575 range, the collection makes festive gifting accessible while offering elevated choices across price points.

The campaign will be amplified through an integrated media plan spanning television, digital, social media and in-store touchpoints, further strengthening Cadbury Celebrations’ role in making Diwali gifting a meaningful way to celebrate relationships — including the wonderfully unique ones right next door.
