Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the motto of Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas is being actively implemented in Madhya Pradesh under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for the state’s overall development. He highlighted a pioneering initiative in the state to provide free training to students from Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic communities. Applications were invited through the ‘Buddy for Study’ portal with the assistance of district departmental directors, resulting in the selection of 97 students for the training programme.
The Department of Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Community Welfare has implemented the SEED project, a national initiative by the National Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Community Welfare and Development Board under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. A state-level workshop was held on November 11, 2024, under the leadership of Minister of State (Independent Charge) Smt. Krishna Gaur and Additional Chief Secretary Shri Ajit Kesari. During the workshop, departmental assistant directors from all districts were trained in the free training application process. These directors subsequently encouraged students from Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic communities to apply for free coaching.
The SEED project, implemented nationally by the National Board for Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Community Welfare and Development, focuses on empowering these communities through four key components: housing, livelihood, health, and education. As part of the education component, free coaching is being provided for the first time this year to students from Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic communities under the ‘Buddy for Study’ scheme.
