Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced the establishment of a new industrial center in Lahar during his visit to Bhind district. Additionally, he declared that Machhand and Aswar areas will be upgraded to Municipal Council status. Emphasizing the state’s commitment to employment and industrial growth, the CM stated that various efforts are underway across Madhya Pradesh to link youth with jobs and to boost agricultural income through agro-based industries.

Dr. Yadav praised the courage of Bhind's youth, stating that the region has a proud history of service in the armed forces. “Every household in Bhind has produced brave soldiers guarding the nation's borders,” he said. He noted that the area has transformed from the fear of dacoits to one of progress and pride. “The people of Bhind have chosen the path of development, and the state government is fully committed to the progress of the Chambal region,” he added.
College Renamed in Honor of Devi Ahilyabai
Marking the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai, Dr. Yadav announced that the college in Alampur will now be named after her. The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for 33 development projects and inaugurated 17 completed works, totaling over Rs.117 crore in investments.
Highlighting progress in irrigation, Dr. Yadav shared that Madhya Pradesh currently has 55 lakh hectares of irrigated land, with a target of 100 lakh hectares in the near future. He mentioned key interlinking river projects, including Parvati-Kalisindh-Chambal River Project, approved after 40 years, with a cost of Rs.70,000 crore and Ken-Betwa Link Project, supported by the central government, which will benefit multiple districts in Bundelkhand.
The CM emphasized support for farmers, citing Permanent power connections at Rs.5, 30 lakh subsidized solar pumps, available at only 10% of the cost, Continued PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi payments, and monthly benefits under the Ladli Behna Yojana for women.
Dr. Yadav highlighted the state’s commitment to social responsibility through schemes like Rahveer Yojana Rs.25,000 reward for anyone helping a road accident victim reach the hospital, Air ambulance services for critical patients, and Free mortuary vans to transport bodies of deceased patients to their homes.
The Chief Minister also distributed benefits under various welfare schemes during the event, Minister for New and Renewable Energy Shri Rakesh Shukla praised Dr. Yadav for working under PM Modi’s vision to make Madhya Pradesh a “golden state.” MP Smt. Sandhya Rai appreciated the developmental gifts given to Lahar, while MLA Shri Amrish Sharma expressed gratitude for the CM’s commitment to the region’s growth.
The event was also attended by MLA Shri Narendra Singh Kushwaha, former ministers Shri Lal Singh Arya and Shri O.P.S. Bhadoriya, and other public representatives.
