Bhopal, March 12, 2025: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that Madhya Pradesh is rapidly progressing towards development and public welfare. The state government is fully committed to realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of 'Viksit Bharat 2047'. In this direction, the budget for the financial year 2025-26 has been presented, amounting to ₹4,21,032 crore—21 times larger than the budget of 2003-04.

No New Taxes, No Cuts in Budget Allocations

The Chief Minister emphasized that no new taxes have been introduced in this budget, nor has there been any reduction in any government scheme. The government aims to double the state's GSDP and budget size by 2029.

Key Budget Highlights

  • Infrastructure Development: 17% of the budget allocated to infrastructure, marking a 31% increase compared to 2024-25.
  • Women Empowerment: ₹18,669 crore for the Ladli Behna Yojana and ₹1,183 crore for the Ladli Laxmi Yojana.
  • Agriculture & Farmers' Welfare: ₹13,909 crore for Atal Krishi Jyoti Yojana, ₹2,001 crore for the PM Crop Insurance Scheme.
  • Welfare for the Poor: ₹7,132 crore for Atal Griha Jyoti Yojana, ₹700 crore for Sambal Yojana.
  • Opportunities for Youth: ₹500 crore for the CM Meritorious Student Scheme, ₹2,000 crore for the Investment Promotion Scheme.
  • Religious & Cultural Initiatives: ₹2,005 crore for Simhastha 2028, ₹100 crore each for Geeta Bhavan and Vrindavan Village Development.
  • Transportation Facilities: ₹100 crore for the Majra-Tola Road Scheme, ₹80 crore for Seamless Transport Services.

Madhya Pradesh’s Path to Economic Goals

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that the government has set a target to double the state budget within five years. The goal is to transform Madhya Pradesh’s economy into a $2 trillion powerhouse by 2047. This budget is not just a financial document but a roadmap for holistic development and citizen empowerment.
