Karrueche Tran Pulls Off Low-Rise Thong Pants With Ease

Karrueche Tran continues to be a style star to watch. On Jan. 11, the actor appeared in a striking pinstripe pantsuit with cutouts galore at a special screening for "House Party." The deconstructed ensemble by Sami Miro Vintage included a cropped corseted jacket with an open back as well as low-rise pants with side cutouts at the hips that looked like an exposed thong - otherwise known as the '90s "whale tail" trend. Both raw-cut pieces featured the sustainable designer's signature safety-pin hardware. Working with stylist Bryon Javar, the former "Claws" star added large silver hoop earrings and studded pointed pumps to complete her outfit. She remained committed to the Y2K aesthetic for her beauty look, rocking blue frosted eyeshadow, a glossy brown lip, and a messy updo. Tran previously told POPSUGAR that Sami Miro Vintage is one of her favorite sustainable fashion brands, along with Phlemuns. "I love being able to wear and support designers that upcycle," she said. Miró, who also works with Bella Hadid, Cardi B, and Kylie Jenner, is known for reworking old fabrics like organic hemp, vintage denim, and deadstock materials to create cool, ethically made vintage pieces. Prior to the "House Party" premiere, the actor kicked off the new year wearing various standout looks in Miami. On Jan. 2, Tran was spotted heading to dinner at Carbone in a sheer knitted dress from another sustainable fashion brand, Ella Mia. She wore another sparkly piece on Jan. 3 - a gorgeous cutout dress that was basically a shred of sequins. See more photos of Tran's latest suit moment ahead.
