Sports are both our culture and our nature: Union Minister Dr. Mandaviya

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav has stated that, when an athlete wins a medal in a national or international competition, it is not just the result of the athlete's hard work but also the sacrifices, dedication, devotion, emotions, tears, and countless efforts of the mother who shaped them. Women play a pivotal role in building the nation and nurturing athletes. The family is the first training school for children, and mothers excel in this role. By honoring them, we feel proud ourselves. It is essential for society and the government to adopt a supportive approach toward sports and athletes. We are committed to working in this direction to promote the development of all sports and provide equal opportunities for athletes in the state.
Union Sports Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya remarked, women power has brought respect and pride to this nation. Sports are an integral part of our lives, our culture, and our nature. We are implementing a new National Sports Policy aimed at preparing athletes who will win more Olympic medals for the country. This policy focuses on training athletes aged 9 to 15. Through initiatives like Khelo India School Games, Khelo India University Games, and Khelo India Youth Games, we are progressing in this direction, yielding positive results. We aim to identify talented athletes from districts, bring them to the state level, and prepare them for national and international competitions. I congratulate all the women honored with the Jijamata Award and emphasize that mothers play the most crucial role in the nation's rebuilding. We all must contribute to this mission.
