Historic Initiative by the Madhya Pradesh Government: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav Inaugurates "PM Shri Tourism Air Service"

June 13, 2024. The Madhya Pradesh government is making significant strides in the fields of education, health, and tourism along with development and public welfare. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, fulfilling his promise, inaugurated the "PM Shri Tourism Air Service" on Thursday, marking a historic step in the direction of religious tourism, health, and public welfare.

Expansion of 30 Airstrips

During the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated, "The PM Shri Tourism Air Service will greatly benefit the sectors of industry, trade, and health. This is a significant step forward in the field of air transport. Our government has successfully operated the air ambulance service, which is now dedicated to the public. We had promised that as soon as the code of conduct ended, we would provide better connectivity to Singrauli and Rewa. Accordingly, we will expand 30 airstrips, which will also promote religious tourist sites."

Madhya Pradesh: A State of Great Potential

The Chief Minister highlighted that Madhya Pradesh holds immense potential. This service is dedicated to Prime Minister Modi. We are working towards connecting Jyotirlingas. The travel time between Singrauli and Rewa, which used to be four hours, will now be reduced to just 15 minutes, creating new employment opportunities. Asia's first helicopter pilot training center has been established in Khajuraho, and we plan to set up pilot training centers wherever there are airstrips, providing degree and diploma courses through universities.

Eight Cities Connected by Air Service: Boost to Tourism and Religious Travel

With the launch of the "PM Shri Tourism Air Service," air travel is now possible between Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Rewa, Ujjain, Gwalior, Singrauli, and Khajuraho in Madhya Pradesh. A booking counter has been opened at Bhopal Airport, allowing passengers to book tickets for air travel to these eight districts. The Chief Minister distributed boarding passes to passengers and inaugurated the counter. The first flight from Bhopal to Jabalpur was also launched, which will land in Singrauli via Rewa. The PM Shri Tourism Air Service aims to enhance air connectivity to tourist destinations, marking a significant step towards promoting tourism. Two days ago, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also inaugurated the service's website, providing complete information about the scheme.
