Under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the state has achieved historic success in curbing Naxalism. On Sunday, 10 most wanted Naxalites, including four women, surrendered before Chief Minister Dr. Yadav in Balaghat. The Chief Minister welcomed them into the mainstream by presenting them copies of the Constitution. The surrendered Naxalites also handed over their weapons to the Chief Minister.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that, in line with the target set by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, the state government is committed to making Madhya Pradesh completely free from Naxalism. He reiterated that no individual is permitted to take up arms. He appealed to Naxalites to adopt the government’s rehabilitation policy, assuring them that the government will make every possible effort to secure their lives, promote development, and rehabilitate them into society.

The Chief Minister said, encouraging officials and security personnel, that the anti-Naxal campaign is being continuously strengthened. The state has sanctioned 15 new temporary camps and 882 posts for the Special Auxiliary Force. Due to constant surveillance, intensive investigations, and decisive actions, the Naxal-affected area in the state has reduced significantly. He further informed that 46 Single-Window Facilitation Centres were opened last year in Naxal-affected regions to support rehabilitation efforts. These centres provide employment services, forest rights certificates, and other essential services.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav paid tribute to martyr Ashish Sharma and said that 328 Hawk Force personnel and other police officers who performed exceptionally in the line of duty have been granted out-of-turn promotions. He reaffirmed that the government is responsible for the rehabilitation of those who choose the path of law.

Director General of Police Shri Kailash Makwana said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the anti-Naxal mission has been strengthened. New camps have been established, and the strength of the Hawk Force and police units has been augmented. Continuous encouragement to officers and personnel has produced positive outcomes. Surrenders by Naxalites have increased not only in Madhya Pradesh but also in neighbouring states. He stated that employment and skill-development initiatives have significantly helped youth and citizens from Naxal-affected areas join the mainstream. Madhya Pradesh Police is committed to achieving a Naxal-free state within the stipulated timeline.

The event was attended by Transport, School Education, and Balaghat In-charge Minister Shri Uday Pratap Singh, along with senior police officials and personnel.
