After ED's aloo puri, sweets allegations, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal asks for insulin in jail

After “consuming” bananas, mangoes, sweets and taking tea with sugar in jail almost every day despite having Type II diabetes, Delhi Chief Minister has moved a petition in Rouse Avenue Court to provide insulin in prison.

The court will hear the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor petition at 2 pm on Friday.

On Thursday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) told Rouse Avenue Court that Kejriwal is “creating a ground for bail” by deliberately eating mangoes, aloo puri, banana and sweets to raise his blood sugar level.

Later on Thursday, AAP leader and Delhi minister Atishi said ED’s claim that Kejriwal has been denied insulin by Tihar jail authorities.

She alleged that from the past few days, the Delhi chief minister’s sugar level is over 300 mg/dl, but jail authorities have denied him insulin. “There’s a conspiracy to kill Kejriwal by stopping his home cooked food supply,” she added.
