Madhya Pradesh Gears Up for Industrial Growth: CM Dr. Yadav Announces "Udyog Varsh" 2025

Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has laid out a roadmap for boosting industrial development in the state. In a review meeting held on Monday, Dr. Yadav emphasized accelerating progress on the PM Mega Textile Park project in Dhar district. This 500 crore rupee project aims to generate employment for over 25,000 people and relevant agencies have been directed to expedite the process.

2025 Declared as "Udyog Varsh"

In a significant announcement, Dr. Yadav declared 2025 as "Udyog Varsh" (Industry Year) for Madhya Pradesh. This initiative underscores the state government's commitment to job creation through industrial expansion. A major Investors' Summit is scheduled for January 2025, alongside regional industrial conferences across the state. Additionally, Dr. Yadav will personally hold meetings with leading industrialists in key Indian cities to attract fresh investments.

Focus on Diverse Sectors

The meeting highlighted several ongoing and upcoming projects aimed at diversifying the state's industrial base. These include:

  • A 100 crore rupee Medical Device Park in Ujjain's Vikram Puri industrial area.
  • A 20,000 crore rupee Multimodal Logistic Park in Indore.
  • A combined investment of 35,000 crore rupees in Pithampur and Ratlam, expected to generate over 1 lakh jobs.
  • Promotion of Old Age Homes and religious tourism.
  • Encouraging IT sector growth to retain talent within the state.
  • Exploring opportunities in niche sectors like handicraft and religious attire manufacturing.

Meeting Attended by Top Officials

The high-level meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Principal Secretaries, and other senior officials. These decisive steps by the Madhya Pradesh government signal a proactive approach towards building a robust and employment-generating industrial landscape.
