Union Budget 2023-24: Hospital CEOs expect increased healthcare spending, tax incentives & GST exemption
It is widely proposed that the government should increase the GDP on healthcare to 3 per cent. The Economic Survey 2022-23 tabled in Parliament by Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs on Tuesday highlighted that the central and state governments’ budgeted expenditure on the health sector reached 2.1 per cent of gross domestic product (GDP) in FY23 and 2.2 per cent in FY22, against 1.6 per cent in FY21.
