Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that beyond basic necessities like food, clothing, and shelter, other essential needs require financial support. During difficult times such as childbirth, illness, disability, or the loss of a loved one, people often feel helpless. The Sambal Yojana provides support in need during such challenging moments. The state government is working with strong determination for the welfare and upliftment of the poor and labor class. In line with Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of "Antyodaya" (upliftment of the last person in society), this commitment is being implemented in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav virtually addressed labor families after transferring Rs. 505 crore to the accounts of more than 23,000 labor families under the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan (Sambal) Yojana with a single click. He also expressed condolences to five beneficiaries for the loss of their family members. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Prahlad Singh Patel participated virtually in the event, along with beneficiaries and public representatives from all districts, municipal corporations, municipal councils, and village panchayats. The Chief Minister was welcomed with a sapling as a token of respect.

Workers Are the Foundation of the State's Development

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav greeted labor families and emphasized that hardworking laborers are the foundation of the state's progress. He stated that diligence enhances skills and paves the way for a brighter future for the next generation. The government has made sufficient arrangements for the education of underprivileged children. Students excelling in academics are being encouraged with scooters and laptops. The state government aims to improve the lives of all citizens, ensuring that every family experiences happiness, prosperity, and well-being.

Eliminating the Backlog of Sambal Yojana

The Chief Minister assured that the government is working with integrity, transparency, and efficiency to promote public welfare and development. In this regard, the backlog of the Sambal Yojana is being cleared. So far, 6.58 lakh families have received benefits worth Rs. 5,927 crore under the scheme. Gig and platform workers have now been included as unorganized laborers in the scheme from March 1, 2024. Under Prime Minister Modi’s initiative, all Sambal beneficiaries have been included in the Ayushman Bharat Niramy: Yojana. Additionally, the state government has ensured that pregnant women from economically weaker backgrounds receive Rs.16,000 in financial aid so they do not have to work during pregnancy and can maintain proper nutrition.

During the event, Dr. Yadav interacted virtually with beneficiaries from various districts, including Smt. Anjali Raikwar from Mandsaur – Received Rs. 4 lakh after her husband's passing and is now learning beauty parlor skills. Smt. Mannu Dheemar from Shahdol – Running a small grocery store.Smt. Kallan Valmiki from Datia, Smt. Shiv Kumari from Sehore, and Smt. Premlata Karma from Khargone – Used the financial assistance from Sambal Yojana for family expenses and children's education.

The Chief Minister urged all beneficiaries to take advantage of welfare schemes such as Ladli Behna Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Food Ration Cards, and Ujjwala Yojana.

Sambal Yojana: A Helping Hand for the Needy

Labor, Panchayat, and Rural Development Minister Shri Prahlad Singh Patel expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav for his full support in implementing the scheme. He stated that the Mukhyamantri Jan Kalyan Sambal Yojana, launched in 2018, is a lifeline for those in need. So far, beneficiaries have received Rs. 5,927 crore under the scheme. The scheme provides ₹4 lakh for the accidental death of a laborer, ₹2 lakh for natural death, Rs. 2 lakh for permanent disability, and Rs. 1 lakh for partial permanent disability.

On this occasion, Rs. 505 crore was transferred to 23,162 labor families. Many districts received over Rs. 10 crore for beneficiaries, and on average, 3,500 cases are resolved per month under the Sambal Yojana.
