Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the Maheshwar-Janapav Lift Micro Irrigation Project will now be known by the name of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar. The Destination Cabinet organised in Maheshwar on the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai and the foundation stone and dedication of construction works worth Rs 1042.24 crore including the Maheshwar-Janapav Micro Irrigation Project from Mandleshwar is only an effort by the state government to remember Punya-Shloka Devi Ahilyabai and follow the path shown by her. CM Dr. Yadav said this while addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of irrigation project and Bhoomi-Pujan and dedication ceremony of other development works in Mandleshwar of Khargone district. He laid the foundation stone of 7 works worth Rs. 994.72 crore and dedicated 20 works worth Rs. 47.52 crore in Mandleshwar.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the state government is working towards realising the mantra of “Focus on Knowledge” given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and is working with determination for the empowerment of poor, youth and women. He said that the dedication and foundation stone laying of 27 works worth Rs. 1042.24 crore from Mandleshwar has given an unprecedented gift of development to the people of the region. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the government is going to make 2 lakh temporary pump holder farmers of the state self-reliant in the production of solar energy. For this, the government will provide assistance to farmers to buy solar pumps of 3 to 7.5 horse power. Farmers will have to pay only 10 percent of the amount, the remaining amount will be provided by the government. This will free the farmers from temporary pump connection and they will be able to generate electricity of their requirement from solar system.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that liquor ban will be implemented in various religious cities and places of the state. In the first phase, 19 places of the state have been selected, where complete liquor ban will be implemented. Apart from Ujjain, Datia, Panna, Mandla, Mandsaur, Maihar, Omkareshwar, Maheshwar, Mandleshwar, Orchha, Chitrakoot and Amarkantak cities of the state, liquor ban will be implemented in Salkanpur, Barmankalan, Kundalpur, Bandakpur, Barmankhurd and Linga Gram Panchayat. This important step of the government will not only help in maintaining the sanctity of religious places, but will also definitely boost family and social harmony. CM Dr. Yadav said that the state government is working with determination keeping in view the overall development of all the regions of the state. For this, the government has innovated and initiated the Regional Industry Conclaves for the first time in the country. So far, the government has organised RICs at 7 places. This is not only helping in setting up industries in all the areas, but new employment opportunities are also being created for 3 lakh youth.
123 villages of Indore, Dhar and Khargone will be irrigated with Narmada water
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that on completion of the Maheshwar-Janapaav Lift Irrigation Project of Narmada Valley Development Authority worth Rs. 982 crore 59 lakh, Narmada water will reach the fields of farmers of a total of 123 villages of Maheshwar in Khargone district, Pithampur in Dhar district and Mhow tehsil of Indore district for irrigation. This will increase the agricultural production of the farmers of these villages and strengthen their economic condition.
Release of calendar
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released the calendar of the year 2025 on behalf of the District Archaeology, Tourism and Culture Council Khargone on the 300th birth anniversary of Lokmata Ahilyabai. The calendar displays pictures of the weapon worship and flower offering done by the Chief Minister on the throne of Matoshree on the occasion of Dussehra in 2024. Pictures of the royal palanquin of the great Shiva worshipper Lokmata Ahilyabai and the earthen Shivling worship performed by her and pictures of Mata Ahilya's parents, Matoshree's birthplace and her husband and place of worship have been included. The calendar shows Lokmata Ahilyabai doing her royal work with the coins, weapons and scriptures issued by her. It also displays panoramic views of Maheshwar Fort and Ghat and pictures of Nimar Utsav.
Booklet based on the biography of Lokmata Ahilyabai also released
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released a booklet based on the glory-saga of the life of Lokmata Ahilyabai, Punya-Shloka. The booklet glorifies the unique work done by Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar to protect the self-respect of her state and country in difficult circumstances through her talent, wisdom, devotion and hard work. Lokmata's character has been inspiring for the youth of the country. She will always be remembered as compassionate and a loving person towards her subjects. The booklet has a remarkable description of her deep faith and determination towards religion since childhood. She came as a pioneer for women's awakening. The light of this lamp of the Holkar dynasty has been shining for centuries and will continue to shine. Lokmata, skilled in both weapons and scriptures, will always be remembered in Indian history.
