Madhya Pradesh State Recognizes IndianOil’s Role in Eradicating Tuberculosis
At a ceremony held in Bhopal, Hon’ble Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel and Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav felicitated IndianOil

Bhopal: At a ceremony held in Bhopal, Hon’ble Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel and Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav felicitated IndianOil for playing an important role in strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Madhya Pradesh by supporting the State Government’s efforts to eliminate Tuberculosis (TB).
IndianOil has provided 100 portable molecular diagnostic machines (Truenat) and 52 handheld X-ray devices to enable rapid, on-the-spot testing and diagnosis, particularly in remote and underserved regions. On behalf of IndianOil, Mr. P.K. Saklecha, General Manager (HR-CSR), and Mr. Shreyansh Dixit, Chief Manager (HR-CSR), received the honours.
In July 2024, IndianOil signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State National TB Elimination Program (NTEP) Cell to enhance TB diagnostic capacity across the state. These cutting-edge diagnostic tools are helping frontline health workers detect TB cases early and initiate timely treatment.
Since the rollout of this initiative, approximately 3.44 lakh individuals have been tested using portable diagnostic equipment, leading to the identification of as many as 22,000 TB-positive cases. This has significantly boosted early detection and intervention efforts in rural and high-risk areas, saving many precious lives. Early detection has also helped prevent the spread of infection to others.
The devices have been deployed in about 50 districts across Madhya Pradesh, ensuring widespread access to advanced TB diagnostic technology.
Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Ajay Kumar Shrivastava, Chief General Manager & State Head, said, “IndianOil has always been at the forefront of community-centric initiatives. Our support for the TB Mukt Bharat campaign reflects our ethos of placing national interest above all else.”
This initiative by IndianOil is part of a broader national mission aligned with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s goal of eliminating TB by 2025. Furthering this commitment, in 2022, IndianOil signed an MoU with the Central TB Division under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW), and the state governments of Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, as part of an intensified TB elimination campaign.
IndianOil remains committed to supporting India’s healthcare goals through sustainable, technology-driven interventions that empower communities and improve lives.
