Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: A new initiative has been launched to strengthen cooperation between Madhya Pradesh and France in the fields of tourism and culture. French Consul General, Mr. Jo Marc Serres Charlé, met with Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, Additional Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, to discuss ways to enhance cultural exchange between the two countries.
Madhya Pradesh, with its stunning tourist destinations like Bhedaghat, Sanchi, Bhimbetka, and Khajuraho, is quite popular among French tourists. This partnership aims to promote these destinations and cultural events in France, and vice versa.
Key Points of the Partnership:
- Training of Guides: Madhya Pradesh guides will be trained in the French language to provide better service to French tourists.
- Cultural Exchange: Artists from both countries will participate in each other's cultural events. For instance, French artists will perform at the upcoming 100th edition of the Tansen Festival.
- Film Tourism: French filmmakers will be invited to shoot films in Madhya Pradesh.
- Tourism Promotion: French tour operators and travel agents will be invited to visit Madhya Pradesh to promote its diverse tourist destinations.
