Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav met Shri Shohei Hara, Senior Vice President of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and invited him to invest in hydro projects in Madhya Pradesh. He said that Japanese companies can invest here because the availability of water resources in abundance and existance of developed infrastructure in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that we can cooperate with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) for Madhya Pradesh Rural Water Supply Project, which will be able to provide stable and safe water supply to the northwestern districts of the state by building water treatment plants and related facilities.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that this meeting is very important with the intention of enhancing cooperation with JICA in new fields in the state. Sustainable city models can be created in major cities like Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior using technical and Japanese expertise in urban transport, water management and smart city projects. CM Dr. Yadav said that JICA Senior Vice President Shohei Hara described the meeting with CM Dr. Yadav as positive and said that in this meeting, detailed discussions were held on the potential of sectors like electricity, health and agriculture in Madhya Pradesh.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that with the help of JICA, infrastructure upgradation and development of logistics hubs in industrial areas, conservation and restoration of catchment areas of major rivers like Narmada and Chambal and adoption of Japanese training model for skill development of youth in the state will be undertaken.
