Operation Sindoor: Indian Armed Forces Launch Precision Strikes in Response to Pakistan’s Provocations

New Delhi: In a calibrated and resolute response to repeated provocations from Pakistan, the Indian Armed Forces carried out “Operation Sindoor” early Saturday, targeting multiple Pakistani military installations with precision strikes. The details of the operation were shared in a high-level press briefing by the Ministry of Defence.

A senior official stated that Pakistan once again initiated a series of provocative and escalatory military actions using drones, long-range missiles, loitering munitions, and fighter jets—aimed at both Indian military bases and civilian infrastructure.

???? Attacks Reported Across 26+ Locations

Colonel Sophia Qureshi and Wing Commander Vomika Singh detailed that the Pakistani military carried out strikes across more than 26 locations, stretching from Srinagar to Naliya. Indian Air Force stations at Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bathinda were targeted.

In a shocking move, medical centers and schools located at Srinagar, Awantipora, and Udhampur airbases were also hit, highlighting Pakistan's disregard for civilian infrastructure.

???? Indian Forces Strike Back with Precision

India responded with air-launched precision weapons aimed solely at identified Pakistani military targets. These included command and control centers, radar installations, and ammunition storage facilities located at Rafiki, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chuniya. Radar sites in Pasrur and Sialkot were also struck.

Officials confirmed that all operations were carried out with the utmost care to avoid collateral damage, reflecting India’s commitment to responsible military conduct.

???? Pakistan’s Misinformation Campaign Exposed

The Indian Armed Forces dismissed several false claims made by Pakistan, including:

  • Destruction of India’s S-400 system at Adampur.

  • Damage to airfields at Suratgarh and Sirsa.

  • Strikes on BrahMos missile bases and Nagrota depot.

To counter these lies, the Indian military shared time-stamped images showing the intact condition of these facilities.

???? Civilian Casualties in Rajouri, Injuries in Punjab

In a cowardly shelling attack, Rajouri’s Additional District Development Commissioner Shri Rajkumar Thapa was killed. Civilian injuries and property damage were also reported in Firozpur and Jalandhar.

???? False Claims on Missiles Hitting Afghanistan and Amritsar

Pakistan also alleged that India had fired missiles at Sri Amritsar Sahib and even Afghanistan—claims termed ludicrous and baseless by Indian officials. India emphasized that such narratives are a part of Pakistan’s ongoing disinformation efforts.

???? India’s Firm Message: Peace with Vigilance

The Indian Armed Forces reiterated that India remains committed to non-escalation, but every hostile act will be met with a firm response. Pakistani troop movements toward forward areas indicate further offensive intentions, to which India is fully prepared.

The briefing concluded with a note that the situation is evolving, and further updates will be provided as necessary. No media questions were taken due to the operational urgency.
