Admiral R Hari Kumar wants one soldier from each Indian hamlet for the Navy in Ladakh.

The Navy leader travelled for 14 hours on road to Ladakh to launch an outreach programme to attract new recruits from this region. At the war memorial, he also paid tribute to the soldiers.

According to Navy Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar, as part of the Indian Navy's outreach programme in Ladakh, just seven persons from Ladakh are currently employed by the Navy, but at least 700 more should be.

The Navy chief stated that the organization's goal is to have at least one sailor from each of the nation's towns and districts serving in the armed forces.

According to R Hari Kumar, "in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision, the Navy wants to have one soldier from every block of the country in the near future, and then from every village of the country after that."
