"Karisma Kapoor is a very good mother," claims Sunjay Kapur's sister Mandhira, breaking the taboo around the Rs 30,000 crore family conflict.
She added, "I think the kids have been close, and they’ve had a great relationship. Hopefully somehow, we can carry that on and let the family be one again because she is looking out for her kids like any mother."

Sunjay Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband and businessman, died of a heart attack in England in June while playing polo. He was 53 years old.
According to recent reports, Sunjay suffered a heart attack after inadvertently swallowing a bee while playing polo. But is it possible for a bee to kill?
A bee sting can be fatal, according to Dr. Farah Husain, a prominent intensivist and anesthesiologist in New Delhi. The mother of the deceased businessman has now revealed some startling information and referred to his death as strange.
Now, the late businessman’s sister Mandhira has praised Karisma Kapoor in an interview and said, “She [Karisma] is a mother. She is a very good mother, I have to give her that. She has done a very good job of letting the family be one, which is…you know..I commend her in that.”
She added, “I think the kids have been close, and they’ve had a great relationship. Hopefully somehow, we can carry that on and let the family be one again because she is looking out for her kids like any mother would, and that’s what she is doing.”
Regarding the family conflict
"I think it's a little harsh on my mom to send her (Priya) this letter saying she has nothing to do with the company she built," Mandhira said in an interview with NDTV. She is eighty years old. Why not simply honor the fact that she and her spouse created this?
