Jay Cutler Allegedly Offered Car Crash Driver $2K to Not Call Police

Regarding Jay Cutler's DUI arrest, more claims have come to light.

Authorities say that on October 17 in Franklin, Tennessee, the NFL star was charged with a first offense of driving while intoxicated. He was also accused of possessing a handgun while under the influence, failing to exercise due care, and breaking the law pertaining to implied consent.

According to a police affidavit that E! News was able to obtain on October 17, the driver of the white Ram that Jay reportedly rear-ended told responding officers that the 41-year-old tried to leave the scene after paying him $2,000 in exchange for him not calling the police.

While speaking with Jay, officers noticed that former Chicago Bears quarterback’s speech was “thick-tongued, slurred and mumbled” and his eyes as “bloodshot,” according to the charging document. Jay—who shares kids Camden, 12, Jaxon, 10, and Saylor, 8, with ex-wife Kristin Cavallari—allegedly “had an overwhelming odor of an alcoholic beverage emitting from his person,” but denied consuming any alcohol before admitting he’d had “a little bit.”
