Instagram Testing Group-Tagging Feature via Single Mention on Stories: Report
Meta-owned Instagram is testing a feature that will let users tag a group of people via just a single mention. Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, disclosed some information about this upcoming feature on his broadcast channel titled ‘IG Updates’.
Instagram is testing a new feature that will let users tag a group of people on Instagram Stories via just a single mention.
The social media platform is always looking for new ways to make it easier for users to interact with each other, and this new feature is a great example of that. Currently, if you want to tag a group of people in a Story, you have to tag them individually. This can be time-consuming and tedious, especially if you're tagging a large group of people.
With the new group tagging feature, you'll be able to add multiple followers to create one group. Once you've created a group, you can tag it in your Story with a single mention. This will notify all the members of the group that they've been tagged, and they'll be able to re-share the post on their own Stories.
The group tagging feature is currently in testing, but it's expected to be rolled out to all users in the coming weeks. This is a great new feature that will make it easier for users to collaborate and share content on Instagram.
In addition to the group tagging feature, Instagram is also testing a number of other new features, including:
- A Twitter-like application called Threads, which allows users to share photos, videos, and text with a smaller group of followers.
- The ability to use Meta avatars during video calls on Instagram and Messenger.
- In-app AI chatbots that would give users at least 30 personalities to choose from.
These are just a few of the new features that Instagram is working on. It will be interesting to see how these features are received by users and how they impact the way people use the platform.
