Google Pixel 7 Series Users Complain Of Poor Video Call Quality: Report
Google Pixel 7 users have complained about the poor video call quality on their phones. The video quality during video calls throughout multiple apps, including Google Meet, is reportedly relatively poor when to other smartphones in the same price range. The videos received from the Pixel 7 are said to be noticeably blurred.
Google Pixel 7 users had earlier complained of problems with the devices and the material being defective. Several users have now newer complaints on a functional level. The video call quality on Pixel 7 phones is reportedly very poor. During video calls across multiple apps, including Google Meet, the video quality is said to be relatively below par compared to that of other smartphones in the same range. Even the videos received from Pixel 7 are allegedly noticeably blurrier and appear smudged.
A Reddit user, as reported by the Android Police, claimed that the video call quality on their Pixel 7 is weaker as compared to that of much older devices. They say that the quality is lower on various apps, including Google Meet. The Pixel 7 owner originally thought the issue was with the Google Meet app. To test, the user installed Google Meet on a Pixel 3 XL and a 2018 iPad Pro. Both systems' video calls were much sharper and clearer than the Pixel 7, as per the post.
Dozens of other Android users commented on the post, where a Pixel 7 Pro owner stated that video calls on Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, and Google's own app were also blurry. According to the same user, the quality problem was present on both the front and back cameras, so there was no way to avoid it while making a video call on the Pixel 7 Pro.
