Election results indicate Indians are firmly with politics of good governance: PM Modi on BJP's win in 3 states

“We bow to the Janta Janardan,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi after BJP was moving closer towards victory in Assembly election 2023 in three states – Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh,

“The results in Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan indicate that the people of India are firmly with politics of good governance and development, which the BJP stands for,” PM Modi said.

‘BJP will keep working tirelessly’

The Prime Minister thanked the people of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and for their “unwavering support” and assured them that the BJP will “keep working tirelessly for their well-being.”

As of 5.05 pm, BJP was leading in 167 of Madhya Pradesh's 230 seats, 114 of Rajasthan's 199 seats and 55 of Chhattisgarh's 90 seats. All these figures are higher than the majority mark in the respective states, ensuring that the BJP will be able to form governments on its own there.

'BJP's bond with Telangana unbreakable'

PM Modi also thanked the people of Telangana for their support to the BJP.

"Our bond with Telangana is unbreakable and we will keep working for the people," the Prime Minister said.

"Thank you for your support to the BJP. Over the last few years, this support has only been increasing and this trend will continue in the times to come," PM Modi told to his "dear sisters and brothers of Telangana."

In Telangana, Congress is seen coming to power, defeating K Chandrashekhar Rao's Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).

In 119-member Telangana Assembly, Congress was leading on 66 seats.
