January 30, 2025: During his visit to the Sysmex Corporation Solution Center in Kobe, Japan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav held extensive discussions with senior company officials on investment opportunities in the fields of medical technology and life sciences. Sysmex Corporation, a global leader in diagnostic technology, is renowned for its advanced medical research and healthcare innovations.
Dr. Yadav proposed that Sysmex establish a medical diagnostic equipment manufacturing unit in Madhya Pradesh and suggested setting up a research and development center. He reviewed Sysmex’s state-of-the-art medical device manufacturing technology and highlighted the vast investment potential in the healthcare and medical technology sector in Madhya Pradesh. The state government is committed to strengthening this sector and looks forward to forming long-term partnerships with companies like Sysmex.
Establishment of a Medical Device Park in Ujjain
Inviting Sysmex to invest in Madhya Pradesh, Dr. Yadav shared that the state government is developing a modern medical device park near Ujjain, which will offer world-class infrastructure and special financial assistance. He mentioned that Madhya Pradesh already holds a strong position in the pharmaceutical sector, with over 275 pharma units, including those in the Pithampur SEZ, exporting to more than 160 countries. Six of India's top 10 pharmaceutical companies have production units in the state.
Promotion of New Technologies
Dr. Yadav stated that the upcoming medical device park in Ujjain could host cutting-edge manufacturing units and research centers, where Japanese experts could train Indian engineers and technicians. The state government is committed to promoting new technologies, facilitating AI-powered medical tests, digital health services, and mobile health units.
Madhya Pradesh: An Ideal Destination for Investors
Dr. Yadav emphasized that Madhya Pradesh’s geographical location makes it an ideal destination for investors. The state offers seamless distribution of medical equipment across India and enhances global export opportunities. The government is dedicated to providing superior infrastructure, special tax incentives, and a business-friendly environment for industries.
Invitation to the Global Investors Summit
Dr. Yadav invited Sysmex officials to the Global Investors Summit, scheduled for February 24-25 in Bhopal, where they will have the opportunity to gain detailed investment insights and explore potential collaborations.
Additionally, he extended an invitation to Sysmex representatives to visit Madhya Pradesh’s cultural and historical sites, such as Sanchi, to gain a deeper understanding of the state's rich heritage and investment potential.
