Bad Newz: Vicky Kaushal Shines, But Predictable Plot Fizzles
Vicky Kaushal delivers a strong performance, but "Bad Newz" fails to live up to its title. This comedy-drama, aimed as a spiritual successor to "Good Newwz" (2019), stumbles with a bizarre and predictable plot.
The film follows Saloni (Triptii Dimri), a chef chasing culinary glory. After a whirlwind romance with Akhil (Kaushal), they marry despite her focus on her career. Their honeymoon is disrupted by Akhil's nomophobia (fear of being without a phone), hinting at a deeper issue.
Despite the promising cast, which includes Ammy Virk and Neha Dhupia, the humor falls flat. The central conflict feels recycled, and the story unfolds exactly as expected.
Should You Watch It?
"Bad Newz" might entertain for a light watch, especially for Kaushal's performance. However, those seeking a fresh and funny story may be disappointed.
