11th edition of Andrej Stenion Press photo contest exhibition inaugurated at New Delhi
The eleventh edition of the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group and Sputnik hub inaugurated the prestigious Andrei Stenin Press Photo Contest Exhibition

Delhi: The eleventh edition of the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group and Sputnik hub inaugurated the prestigious Andrei Stenin Press Photo Contest Exhibition today in New Delhi. Being held at New Delhi’s AIFACS Gallery, the exhibition witnessed around thousands of entries from younger photojournalists from around the world.
The event witnessed the presence of distinguished personalities like Mr. Navneet Kumar Sehgal, Chairman of Prasar Bharati, as the Chief Guest. Mr. Rishabh Gulati, Editor-in-Chief grace the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Mr. Alexander Shtol, Executive Director of the Andrei Stenin International Photo Contest, also graced the occasion.
Apratim Pal, Arpan, Dipayan Basu, Kaushik Dutta and Rajinder Pandey were the winners of the competition.
The Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest is a globally acclaimed platform that celebrates the work of young photojournalists, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their talent on an international stage. In 2024 around 2000 entries from 36 countries were submitted. Since its start in 2014 the contest has been exhibiting around the world, including Moscow, Cape Town, Budapest, Madrid, New Delhi, Sharjah, Belgrade, New York, Ankara, Buenos Aires and other cities.
The exhibition in New Delhi featured a compelling collection of photographs that highlighted powerful stories from around the world, capturing moments of resilience, culture, conflict, and triumph. The contest was founded on December 22, 2014 by the Rossiya Segodnya International Information Agency under the auspices of the Commission of the Russian Federation for UNESCO. The contest is named after Andrei Stenin, Rossiya Segodnya special photojournalist who died in the line of duty. Indian Photographers were among the winners of the contest since its start in 2014. India holds the record on the number of entries from the foreign countries
About the Andrei Stenin International Press Photo Contest
Established in memory of Russian photojournalist Andrei Stenin, the contest aims to support and encourage young photographers worldwide. Organized by the Rossiya Segodnya Media Group under the patronage of UNESCO, the competition recognizes outstanding photographic work in categories such as current affairs, portraits, sports, and nature.
