Kim Kardashian Vows to Keep Studying After Second California Bar Exam Setback

Los Angeles: Reality star and entrepreneur Kim Kardashian is keeping her eye on the prize after revealing she did not pass the California Bar Exam she took in July. Though she's "not a lawyer yet," the SKIMS founder shared her unwavering commitment to completing her legal journey.

Kardashian took to Instagram to update her followers, reflecting on her path:

"Six years into this law journey, and I'm still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up - just more studying and even more determination."

Fueling Determination After Being 'So Close'
The star made it clear that falling short hasn't dampened her spirits. She framed the outcome as motivation, saying, "Failing short isn't failure - it's fuel. I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivated me even more. Let's go!"

She also offered a touch of her signature humour, quipping, "Well...I'm not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV (sic)."

A Non-Traditional Path to Law
Kardashian’s legal aspirations began in 2018 when she chose a non-traditional route: an apprenticeship with a San Francisco-based law firm. This path is permitted in California and three other U.S. states as an alternative to attending a traditional law school.

This is not the first legal hurdle the celebrity has overcome. In 2021, she celebrated a major victory after finally passing the "Baby Bar" exam (also known as the First-Year Law Student's Examination) on her fourth attempt.

At the time, she shared her pride on X (formerly Twitter), noting that her journey was considered "a close to impossible" route by top lawyers but was her "only option." She added, "I am really proud of the woman looking back today in the reflection... this wasn't easy or handed to me."

Kardashian remains focused on her goal of becoming a practising attorney, a pursuit inspired by her passion for criminal justice reform.
