Mahakaushal — Where the Narmada of Skills Flows Boundlessly: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Jabalpur represents the confluence of culture, values, and education. It is both the land of traditions and of justice. Describing the city as the flow of skill and learning, he said Mahakaushal is blessed with unmatched natural beauty and the divine grace of the River Narmada. The Chief Minister reminded that his government held its first cabinet meeting in Jabalpur, where the state’s development priorities were set. He said that with the completion and inauguration of Madhya Pradesh’s largest elevated corridor in Jabalpur, trade and business have received new momentum.

CM Dr. Yadav addressed a public gathering at the Mahakaushal Autonomous College auditorium during a program dedicated to the inauguration and Bhoomi Poojan of several development projects, as well as the felicitation of meritorious students and educators. He urged all educational institutions to become strong foundations of study and teaching for the nation and society. Schools and colleges, he said, should serve as temples of knowledge, not merely as degree-awarding centers. He emphasised employment-oriented education that equips students with skills while they study.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav noted that lakhs of youths in the state have started their own ventures, driving India’s start-up revolution and giving new direction to society and the economy. He said the youth of Madhya Pradesh are becoming pioneers in bringing a “Swadeshi Revolution.” Paying tribute to the late Eshwardas Rohani, CM Dr. Yadav said that his son and current MLA Ashok Rohani is carrying forward his legacy. Highlighting the government’s commitment to tribal welfare, the Chief Minister announced a historic decision to procure kodo at ₹2,500 per quintal and kutki at ₹3,500 per quintal. He said that crop loans would continue to be available at zero percent interest for farmers. Remembering the valor of Queen Durgavati, Queen Avantibai, and revolutionary leaders Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Shaheed Bhagat Singh, he said that their sacrifices will always inspire the nation.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed bhoomi poojan and inaugurated development projects worth ₹28.33 crore in Jabalpur, including a new four-storied building for PM Excellence Government Mahakaushal Autonomous College. The facility includes 19 modern classrooms, laboratories, staff rooms and special provisions for ‘Divyangjan’. The energy-efficient building integrates environmental conservation and digital learning systems. Additionally, he inaugurated projects worth ₹23.28 crore and laid foundations for those worth ₹4.95 crore, including a primary health center and housing facilities.

Recognition of Excellence and Social Contribution

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav honoured 22 schools and college toppers and multi-talented students. He encouraged them to see this recognition as a responsibility to build a self-reliant Madhya Pradesh. Five teachers & academicians, 13 social workers, three institutions, five inspiring women achievers, six sportspersons and five social media influencers were also awarded in recognition of their outstanding contributions.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that India’s unique combination of youth power and technology will define its transformation by 2047. He urged young people to become tech-savvy and AI-enabled, mastering skills in artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, and data analytics to stay industry-ready.

Present your business idea and receive funding support

Addressing youths directly, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav spoke about initiatives such as the Swami Vivekananda Yuva Shakti Mission and ‘Seekho-Kamayo Yojana’ that provide hands-on learning and earning opportunities through industry collaboration. He said the government acts as a guardian for students—from school education to employment—and invited young entrepreneurs to bring innovative ideas and avail startup funding support and incubation facilities provided by the state.

MLA Ashok Rohani recalled that when CM Dr. Yadav was the Higher Education Minister, he sanctioned ₹14 crore for constructing the new college building, which he now inaugurated as Chief Minister. Rohani praised his leadership in ensuring development, good governance, and welfare for all citizens.
