BJP seals deal with Chandrababu Naidu 6 years after split, to run LS polls with TDP & Jana Sena in Andhra
Although the official seat sharing will be announced in the coming days, sources say the BJP has demanded to contest 10 out of the 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh
Setting its sights on an expanded footprint in southern India, the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday entered into an alliance with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Jana Sena Party (JSP).
BJP has announced that it will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections together with TDP and JSP in Andhra Pradesh.
“Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji has been working tirelessly for the development and progress of the nation for the last 10 years and coming together with TDP and JSP will help in
reaching the aspirations of the people of Andhra Pradesh,” BJP’s Jagat Prakash Nadda, TDP’s President N. Chandrababu Naidu and JSP’s Shri Pawan Kalyan said in a joint statement.
