Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has set an ambitious target for the state, aiming to increase its contribution to India's GDP from 4% to 5% within the next five years.

Yadav made this announcement during the state's Independence Day celebrations on Thursday. He also outlined several initiatives to boost the state's economy and social development.

  • Economic Growth: The state government plans to double its budget in the next five years and attract investments worth Rs 10,000 crore to create over 17,000 jobs.
  • Youth and Development: Four new missions will be launched on November 1 to focus on youth, women, farmers, and the poor. The state is investing Rs 485 crore to establish PM Colleges of Excellence in all districts to provide access to artificial intelligence and new technologies.
  • Employment Generation: Over 11,000 young people have been hired for government jobs in the past eight months, and efforts are underway to fill more vacancies.

Yadav expressed confidence in India's economic progress under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and emphasized Madhya Pradesh's role in contributing to the nation's growth.
